Jay has over 30 years’ experience working in building and construction specialising in carpentry, frames, lock up and fix.  His passion and drive saw him move to establish his own business where he employed up to 25 staff and oversaw a range of projects from single dwellings for owner occupiers, countless extensions and renovations and worked with developers to build nursing homes, retirement villages, apartment complexes, town houses and hospitals. Throughout this time, he remained actively involved in each project by being on the tools or working with his customers to ensure their needs were met.

More recently, Jay became involved in the social enterprise, Rebuild run by YMCA Victoria, which provides facilities maintenance services with a difference – they employ disadvantaged young people. At Rebuild Jay was a mentor to young workers teaching them the skills required for maintenance work in a supportive and caring environment.  The work was challenging and fulfilling.

Jay has seen an opportunity through Jim’s to bring together his extensive experience and knowledge and his commitment to excellent customer service. In his spare time Jay enjoys getting away with his family and spending time in his community whether it be down the footy club supporting his two children or enjoying a local coffee.
