Anthony has always been involved in the construction industry with his family business being a construction and development company focusing on residential dwelling developments, townhouses, multi-unit developments and custom homes.

Under his father’s wing, Anthony has been exposed and taught all the intricate details of project management and the expectations of trades. He has an exceptional understanding of construction processes and is able to identify where things may have gone wrong and liaise with tradesmen and site supervisors in resolving issues.

After Studying a Diploma and Advance Diploma of Building Surveying in 2012, Anthony commenced employment for a Building Surveying Firm and undertook a variety of roles including assessing new Building Permit applications, making requests for further information to gain compliance, writing Building Notice, Orders & Alternative Solution Reports, applying for Dispensations and the issuing of Building Permits and Occupancy Permits. Anthony also went on inspections on many occasions inspecting a variety of Building Permits, from minor structures, residential dwellings, unit developments, up to light industrial and commercial developments.

This provided Anthony exposure to inspections for various stages of building works such as Bored Piers, Pre-Slab, Slab Steel, Framework, Finals, etc. on a variety of projects including single/double/triple story dwellings, sub-floors, suspended slabs, basements, apartment complexes, factories, renovations, commercial and retail projects.

Experience in the Building Compliance Industry also meant Anthony gained a wealth of knowledge of all the relevant Building Regulations, Building Act, Building Code of Australia/National Construction Codes, Australian Standards, Memorandums of Common Provisions, Minister’s Guidelines, Developer’s Guidelines and Residential Code.

As part of his latest venture of joining Jim’s Building Inspections, Anthony looks to use this extensive knowledge gained over the years of experience in Building Construction and Compliance Industries and give back to the local community in using that information to help them buy with confidence.
