Derek has over 13 years expertise in holistic building and the construction industry. Beginning his career as a Draftsperson working for established architectural companies preparing compliant building consent plans for local councils. Furthering his career by completing a degree in construction management, working for a highly sort after contractor to further develop these skills.

As his career progressed, he chose to join the local council as an inspector applying his expertise to ensure new builds complied with the building act, regulations and standards as well as ensuring they were built to the plans submitted.

Derek is a family man and enjoys long drives in rural Victoria as well as outdoor activities especially skydiving when the opportunity arises. Derek has completed training to be a Muay Thai Martial Artist and is looking to enrol in his first official Muay Thai fight as soon as he can.
