Yes. It’s that time of year again. November is Asbestos Awareness Month.
Why Asbestos Awareness Month?
It’s a national effort with a noble goal. Asbestos Awareness Month is about fighting ignorance through education. The aim is to increase awareness of the potential dangers posed by asbestos and how to safely manage them. In so doing, we can make our communities healthier and happier places.
How are people fundraising?
Australians are invited to hold a Blue Lamington Drive during Asbestos Awareness Month (1-30 November). The colour is very much like natural asbestos fibres and serves to raise awareness. What’s more, money raised through the fun drive helps generate funds for the Asbestos Disease Research Institute (ADRI) and other asbestos-related support groups.
Why are asbestos inspections important?
For many reasons, though some stand out more than others. Indeed, at least one third of all homes contain asbestos in Australia. Both renovators and demolishers alike, among others, need to stay safe. It’s why Jim’s Building Inspections offers quality asbestos testing and residential inspections.
