About the Inspector
Jeremy is your local Selwyn Building Inspector, with over 20 years’ experience in the building industry. Jeremy is a fully qualified carpenter, completing his certificate through BCITO in 2002. Jeremy is a licensed LBP carpenter and a member of New Zealand Certified Builders Association and carries Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance cover.
Jeremy started out his career in Dunedin where he completed his apprenticeship with Arthur Stone Builders, before heading abroad to work on numerous residential and commercial new builds and renovations.
Jeremy returned to New Zealand in 2005, residing in Wanaka where he has vacationed every year since he was young. While in Wanaka he worked on commercial new builds including Rippon Vineyard Events Centre and Wanaka Primary school along with high end architectural residential homes where the team won New Zealand Master builders 2006. When Jeremy was not working, he spent his free time outdoors snow skiing during the winter and water-skiing and mountain biking through the summer.
In 2011, Jeremy and his young family moved to Christchurch to help with the Canterbury rebuild where Jeremy has worked for EQC, Housing NZ and Gallagher Bassett assessing and quoting damaged properties, to then head back to building residential homes and working as a project manager.
Jeremy is a member of the Selwyn Business Group where he has met like-minded people which is helping to widen his networking capability, gain invaluable knowledge from other experienced business members and also to keep things local which is very important in a small community.
