Steve is a Jim’s Building Inspector servicing the western suburbs of Adelaide and beyond. Before moving into inspections, Steve spent 20 years working as a high end wall and floor tiler — hands-on experience that gave him a deep, practical understanding of how homes are built, and where problems tend to hide. After an elbow injury made it clear it was time to get off the tools, Steve saw building inspections as the perfect next step: a chance to put two decades of trade knowledge to work in a role that offered more flexibility and a better work-life balance, without losing the hands-on expertise that makes for a thorough inspection.

Steve moved to Australia in 2006 with his wife, and Adelaide has been home ever since. His trade background means he doesn’t just tick boxes — he knows what quality construction looks like, and he’s not afraid to flag what doesn’t measure up, giving buyers clear, honest advice they can rely on before they sign.

Outside of work, Steve is a keen traveller who loves exploring new places with his wife, and a dedicated football man who coaches a team every Sunday bringing the same discipline and attention to detail to the sideline as he does to every inspection.
