Pool Inspections

Whether you’re a landlord, tenant, private homeowner, strata company or body corporate, you want to know that the pool area on your property is safe for all occupants and visitors. This knowledge is also essential if you are buying or selling a residential property.

With new laws being introduced in NSW and QLD regarding pool fencing in the short-term future, it is important to ensure that your pool fence is safe and compliant.

I contacted Colin from Jim’s building inspection while buying my first home. I received a prompt response when i requested for a quote and the price was very competitive than other companies. The inspection and report was done in a day’s time, the quick turnaround helped us put in an offer before other’s could. The quality and content of the report and the time spent explaining things to us gave us the assurance we required. I think i made the best choice to engage with Jim’s building inspection and would highly recommend them to my friends and family.

Don completed a building inspection for us. He was quick to organize a date and time with the estate agent and let us know when it would take place. After completing the inspection Don gave me a call and gave a brief summary of what he had found. He also did the same to the agent. Later that day we received the official report that he had complied. It was extremely detailed with photos that had been annotated with how each situation could be rectified. We were extremely pleased with the work that Don did for us and would use his services again!!

The scope of our pool fencing inspection covers the entire pool barrier, which may consist of pool fencing, perimeter/barrier fencing, gates, adjoining buildings and associated windows and doorsets. The inspection will also include assessment of areas immediately surrounding the pool barrier.

Generally, our pool fencing inspection service involves:

  • Assessing the compliance of the pool barrier with Australian Standards
  • Ensuring the reliability of the design and construction of the pool fencing
  • Identifying objects surrounding the pool area that may impede the reliability or function of the pool barrier
  • Inspection of associated doors and windows of any building that forms part or all of the pool barrier

Additionally, we provide advice on maintenance and reparation works that may be required to improve the serviceability and effectiveness of the pool barrier, ensuring the safety of your property.
