I’ve been working in the building industry since the 1990’s. After finishing year 11 in 1992, I began my carpentry apprenticeship and qualified as a carpenter in 1996. I then spent several years working as a self-employed framing carpenter, specialising in cut-on-site construction, which gave me a strong practical understanding of residential structures and on-site delivery.

In 2001, I completed my Certificate IV in building, and in 2002 I founded Shimera Homes, which I continue to operate today. Over the years, I’ve delivered 131 new homes and completed many renovations and addition projects, working closely with clients to ensure each project is built to a high standard and runs smoothly from start to finish.

As I begin to wind down from full-time building, I’ve taken the next step by joining Jim’s Building Inspections. This will allow me to apply the knowledge and experience I’ve gained over decades in the industry to provide, clear, practical and independent building inspections.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active through eduro off-road motorcycle racing, snow skiing, and playing soccer – something I’ve been doing continuously for 44 years.
