“I’m a seasoned construction and project management professional with over 35 years of experience delivering high-value projects across Australia, Europe, South America, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. My career spans mining, oil & gas, water treatment, transport infrastructure, and residential construction—driven by a hands-on, solutions-focused leadership style.
For more than 20 years, I operated my own custom home building business in Victoria as a Registered Domestic Builder (Unlimited). I worked closely with my daughter Zali, who holds a Bachelor of Construction Management (Honour’s) and has contributed her expertise to our residential projects for many years. Together, we built homes with care, precision, and a deep understanding of the trade.
Internationally, I’ve led large-scale, multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams of over 22,000 people on projects valued in the billions—from greenfield mine developments and energy infrastructure to complex civil and marine works. I’ve held senior leadership roles across client, EPCM, and contractor teams, managing every aspect of project delivery—from Financial Investment Decision (FID) through to commissioning and operational readiness.
Today, I lead Jim’s Building Inspections Mt Martha, where I bring the same depth of knowledge and commitment to excellence not only to residential and commercial building inspections, but also to termite and timber pest inspections, new home inspections, and asbestos inspections. With decades of real-world experience and Zali’s sharp technical insight, we deliver trusted, professional assessments that help our clients make confident, informed decisions about their properties.”
